Los Puertorriqueños que residen en el area del Corredor de la Carretera I-4 en la Florida Central son un grupo influyente de votantes, y una nueva encuesta sobre sus opiniones traen a la luz algunos puntos interesantes.

Entre los hallazgos encontrados:

  • Estos electores favorecen la estadidad para Puerto Rico.  De hecho, muchos sienten que ya Puerto Rico votó por la estadidad y que ellos apoyarían candidatos que respeten ese voto.
  • Estos también apoyarían candidatos que quieren resolver el status de Puerto Rico, y que estén dispuestos a asumir una postura sobre el tema.
  • Aunque muchos son demócratas, también son conservadores. Ellos apoyan republicanos al igual que a demócratas pero su opinión sobre el actual gobierno en Puerto Rico es negativa.
  • Un 92% están inscritos para votar, mucho más que en la mayoría de los grupos de potenciales votantes.

Puerto Rican voters along the I-4 corridor in Central Florida are an influential group of voters, and a new poll of their views brings some interesting points to light.

Among the discoveries that were made:

  • They favor statehood for Puerto Rico. In fact, many feel that Puerto Rico has already voted for statehood, and they will support candidates who respect that vote.
  • They also support candidates who want resolution of Puerto Rico’s status, and are willing to take a stand on that issue.
  • Though many are Democrats, they’re also conservatives. They support Republicans as much as they do Democrats… but their views on the current government of Puerto Rico are negative.
  • 92% are registered to vote — far more than in most groups of potential voters.
